The aerial action thriller Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand and starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, marks its first anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, Anil Kapoor, who portrayed Commanding Officer Rakesh ‘Rocky’ Jai Singh, reflected on the film’s journey by revisiting critics’ reviews—a tradition he follows for some of his films on their anniversaries. This time, he shared the reviews with his followers on Instagram.

In the caption accompanying the post, Anil wrote, “Looking back with immense pride as Fighter completes 1 year. It’s almost a ritual for me to look at reviews of some films on their anniversaries. This time, I thought I’d share the ritual with everyone.”
Reflecting on the film, Anil added, “This was a journey filled with hard work, dedication, and unforgettable moments. I’m so grateful to the incredible team and the love from all of you that made it so special. Here’s to pushing boundaries and creating magic together! #1YearOfFighter.”
Produced by Viacom 18 and Marflix Pictures, the film also starred Akshay Oberoi, Karan Singh Grover, Rishabh Sawhney, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Ashutosh Rana in key roles.

In Fighter, Anil portrayed Commanding Officer Rakesh Jai Singh, while Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone played Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania (Patty) and Squadron Leader Minal Rathore (Minni), respectively. Set against the backdrop of a terror attack in Srinagar, the film garnered positive reviews from both fans and critics and emerged as one of the highest-grossing films of 2024.
