The Bollywood Hungama OTT Fest, held on October 3, 2024, at Taj Lands End, Mumbai brought together leading figures from the entertainment world to examine the fast-paced evolution of India’s OTT platforms. Over the course of two days, celebrities engaged in thought-provoking discussions on the shifting dynamics of digital content creation. One of the most interesting sessions of the day was that of Ananya Panday and director Vikramaditya Motwane. Both spoke about their upcoming film CTRL, which releases on Netflix on October 4.

Towards the end of the session, Ananya Panday and Vikramaditya Motwane were asked if they ever went to sleep in an awkward situation. Both hesitated at first, prompting the host, RJ Prerna, to ask Vikramaditya if he slept during a narration. The acclaimed filmmaker replied, “No. In fact, I’ve put people to sleep when I was (narrating a script)!”
Ananya Panday then said, “I have fallen asleep in a scene once! I was supposed to be sleeping but I was very tired.”
The actress explained, “It happened on the sets of Gehraiyaan (2022). Sidhant Chaturvedi had some reaction shots and I was supposed to be sleeping. I actually passed out. Someone woke me up one hour later! He told me, ‘The shot is done’. I pretended and said, ‘Yeah, I know it’s done’!” She also added, “It was a great nap!”
Incidentally, Gehraiyaan, just like CTRL, was also a direct-to-OTT release and it also starred Deepika Padukone.
