The concerts promised – and delivered – a spectacular celebration of music, spectacle, and inclusivity. A cornerstone of this commitment was Coldplay’s unique ‘Touch Tour’, an initiative that redefined accessibility for visually impaired fans. This thoughtfully curated experience allowed attendees to engage with the magic of a live concert in their own way, fostering a sense of connection and storytelling through extraordinary attention to detail.

On January 21st, select fans who were visually impaired were invited to step onto the stage as part of the Touch Tour. Guided by the Coldplay team, they explored the textures and shapes of the stage, from the intricate designs of the costumes to the instruments that bring their favorite songs to life. Through vivid descriptions and tactile exploration, fans learned about the stories behind the props and the significance of each element in the show.

This sensory journey transformed sound into a vivid, multi-dimensional narrative, allowing attendees to experience the concert in a way that transcended the visual. By feeling the vibrations of the instruments, the contours of the stage props and the intricate details of the costumes, visually impaired fans were immersed in an experience that redefined inclusivity in live entertainment.

Inclusivity remained a central pillar of the tour. Fans with sensory needs had access to KultureCity sensory bags containing ear defenders, fidget toys and feeling thermometer cards, as well as dedicated sensory rooms for a calming retreat. SubPacs – wearable vibrating vests ensured that hard-of-hearing attendees could feel the rhythm of the music, while the PWD riser and Access Centre provided a safe and comfortable space for mobility-impaired fans. Sign language interpreters were present throughout the shows, enriching the experience for the deaf and hard of hearing.

A particularly moving highlight was when Chris Martin interpreted a verse of ‘Something Just Like This’ in sign language, creating a moment of unity and celebration that left the audience in awe.

Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour in India, produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live, wasn’t just a celebration of music and spectacle – it was a heartfelt commitment to diversity and equality. The tour exemplified how live entertainment can create a space where everyone belongs, ensuring every fan could share in the magic, regardless of their needs.

The tour now moves to Ahmedabad for two highly anticipated shows on January 25th and 26th at the Narendra Modi Stadium. These performances will mark a historic milestone for Coldplay, as they play to the biggest-ever stadium audience of their career. The Ahmedabad leg promises to amplify the energy and magic of the Mumbai shows, creating another unforgettable chapter in the band’s journey across India.

With Coldplay and BookMyShow Live walking hand-in-hand to champion inclusivity and elevate the live entertainment experience, the Music Of The Spheres World Tour in India will be a movement celebrating unity, diversity and the universal language of music, leaving an indelible mark on fans and the live entertainment industry alike.
