EXCLUSIVE: Danny Ramirez on working with Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford: "I'm living a dream"
In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, actor Danny Ramirez opened up about his experience working with Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford, describing it as a surreal and unforgettable journey.
Working with him has been one of my dreams
“Working with Mackie has been one of my dreams,” Ramirez shared, reflecting on his admiration for Mackie, whose career he has followed since his early days in Hollywood. “It’s like, from watching him get absolutely destroyed in 8 Mile,” he joked, recalling Mackie’s role as Papa Doc in the iconic rap battle film.

Beyond his excitement for Mackie, Ramirez also spoke about his deep respect for the veteran actor’s career. “It’s just like, he’s got one of those careers that I try to emulate in regards to being… I connect this a lot to sports.” Adding to the excitement, Harrison Ford’s involvement in the project made the experience even more special. “And Anthony is someone that, like, solidifies the type of project you’re in, and then you add Harrison Ford to that, and you’re like, ‘Oh, this is a slam dunk.'”

Ramirez recalled his mother’s reaction upon hearing that Ford was joining the cast. “Oh, I was super excited. And then when I found out that Harrison Ford was joining, my mom was really excited because that’s her favorite actor.” He laughed as he added, “Air Force One was playing in the house 24/7, and so I was like, ‘I’ve seen him… I’ve seen him as the president before.'”

One of his most memorable moments with Ford happened on set. “I think the first time I saw Harrison was when we were filming a sequence at the White House. And I saw him drag the cast chair, his cast chair was by himself. So because people are thinking, they thought like, ‘Oh, Harrison Ford’s…'”

Ramirez also described Ford’s humor and warmth. “He was eating a PB&J or something like that. And he just instantly was like, ‘Let’s be… let’s be honest,’ and cracks jokes at you.” The experience of working alongside two Hollywood legends left Ramirez in awe. “He makes it really easy to hang out with him, and so I was like, ‘I’m living a dream.'”
