Shah Rukh Khan shared a video from Jawan on his social media accounts, accompanied by a touching note. He wrote, “The film that we made with a lot of heart… has turned one year ‘old’ today… or shall I say one year ‘Jawan’. Without the storytelling, skill, and vision of @atlee47, this film wouldn’t have been possible and of course… massy massy massy!!!”
In his message, Khan thanked his co-stars, including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, and the entire cast and crew for their dedication to making the film a success. He also expressed his appreciation for the audience, stating, “Thank you to the audiences for accepting our film with such love and happiness!!!”
A Star-Studded Cast and Atlee’s Direction
Jawan boasted an impressive ensemble cast, with Nayanthara making her Hindi film debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Their on-screen chemistry was widely appreciated by fans. Directed by Atlee, the film marked his debut in Hindi cinema and was produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment.
Speaking of the professional front, SRK will be next seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s King, which will also star Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. After months of speculation, Shah Rukh confirmed it at the Locarno Film Festival on August 10. He said, “The next film I’m doing, King, I have to start working on it. Have to lose some weight and stretch a little so my groin doesn’t get caught while I am doing action. It is very painful and hurtful. I have two bags full of icing machines. It’s the worst thing to see me on set after action.”
