Kareena Kapoor Khan, mother of two children, Taimur and Jeh, balances her time between her work and her family. Despite her busy schedule, she continues to dedicate time to her children. On Thursday, she shared an Instagram story that focused on “motherhood, parenting, and raising children.”

The text in the post read, “Your job is not to make your children become who you want them to become. The things that set them on fire are not for you to choose. Let them feed what they love and watch them burn to the horizon. They are the fire. And you, mama, get to dance in the light.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan has previously mentioned in an interview with Filme Shilmy that her sons, Taimur and Jeh, are a lot like their father, Saif Ali Khan. She said, “They (Taimur and Jeh) are actually both quite like him (Saif). Jeh just looks like me, but he has Saif’s naughtiness. Though Tim (Taimur’s nickname) has Saif’s sense of humour, he is a bit reserved and doesn’t like being clicked, he is more like his father. Jeh is like me in terms of look and vibe, but his naughtiness comes from Saif.”

On the work front, Kareena Kapoor will next be seen in The Buckingham Murders. After much anticipation, this serial killer thriller, directed by Hansal Mehta, will finally open in theatres on September 13. The actress will portray a detective in the murder mystery. The film received positive reviews at its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival in 2023. Additionally, this will be the actress’ first film as a producer.

Kareena Kapoor Khan discussed her role in The Buckingham Murders during a conversation on Netflix’s The Actors Roundtable 2023. She said, “I think I loved playing that part because this is the first time I am playing a detective, and I am a huge crime drama fan.” Admitting the challenges that came her way while playing the character, she added, “It’s a career-defining role for me and one of my best characters.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan will also be seen in Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, in a key role.
