In an industry where many stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, and Hrithik Roshan have faced backlash for promoting these products, Kartik’s firm stance sets him apart.

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kartik Aaryan discussed his choice to reject endorsements for paan masala brands, stating, “I have refused paan masala ads. They tempted me with a lot of things, but I was never tempted to do that at all.”

During another interview, Vidya Balan also humorously highlighted the “competition” between endorsing a paan masala brand and a condom ad while discussing her Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-star Kartik Aaryan’s decision to refuse paan masala offers. She remarked, “The great thing is, Kartik chose to endorse a health product instead of paan masala.” Kartik, laughing, responded, “Please someone stop her!” and added, “Yes, that’s exactly what I chose. Safety first.”

In 2022, Akshay Kumar publicly apologized for his endorsement of a tobacco brand, emphasizing the need for caution in such associations. He stepped down as an ambassador, stating, “With all humility, I step back,” and pledged to donate his endorsement fee to a worthy cause. This ad featured him alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn, who continue to promote the brand.

When questioned about his involvement with paan masala, Ajay Devgn defended it as a “personal choice,” stating, “When you do something, you also see how harmful it would be. Some things are harmful, some are not.” He highlighted the importance of regulating harmful products rather than solely focusing on advertising.
