The 29th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival has finally begun today in Kolkata. Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha along with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the festival on Tuesday. A video of them dancing together has gone viral on the internet.

For the unversed, in a video, Anil Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Salman Khan, Shatrughan Sinha, and others were seen grooving on the stage. In addition to this, Mamata Banerjee can also be seen dancing to a Bengali song with them. Meanwhile, hundreds of fans present at the venue can be seen capturing the moment on their phones.

Speaking of the fest, it will continue till December 12. The inaugural ceremony is held at the Netaji Indoor Stadium. It will showcase 219 films from 39 countries across 23 venues in Kolkata; among them, 72 are feature films, and 50 are short films and documentaries. In addition to this, renowned actors Manoj Bajpayee and Sudhir Mishra will lead a masterclass session on acting and direction.

Coming back to the stars, Anil Kapoor is currently seen in Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is running successfully in theatres, despite getting an A certificate, long runtime, and a clash with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur.

Meanwhile, Salman’s last release is Tiger 3, which was released on November 12. The film is currently running in theatres. Directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by YRF, it also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.
