Malavika Mohanan is gearing up to do some extensive action in her upcoming film Sardar 2, co-starring Karthi. In fact, we hear that the actress will not only be undergoing diet but also strict training to play her role in the forthcoming release. Sources close to the actress have revealed that she had to ditch her regular diet and take on a new fitness routine to meet the expectations of the film which requires her to do some heavy-duty action scenes.

Sources close to the film reveal that the Thangalaan actress, who is already a fitness freak and very conscious about what she eats, has started a more focused regimen for the film. Revealing some details about her fitness prep for Sardar 2 the source said, “Malavika has really gone all out for Sardar 2. She’s been training twice a day, with strength and endurance exercises in the mornings, followed by flexibility workouts like Pilates and yoga in the evenings.” Apart from the workout extra attention is being given to her diet. Adding that she’s on a protein heavy diet, the source added, “On top of that, she’s sticking to a protein-rich diet. She has cut down on carbs and any junk food. She’s anyway very particular about what she eats. So this is just an addition to her daily diet.”
The source also mentioned about the actress getting massages to stay fit and easily execute the action scenes. “Malavika is very determined to pull of these action scenes. So, she is getting regular deep-tissue massages to stay in top shape. Her dedication is clear—she’s doing everything she can to make sure she’s physically prepared for this role, and it’s already showing in her performance,” the source shared.
With Karthi featuring in a dual role, Sardar 2 is directed by P. S. Mithran and produced by Prince Pictures. It is expected to release somewhere in 2025.
