Being the leading lady of Mani Ratnam in two of his most popular films – Bombay and Dil Se…, actress Manisha Koirala reunited with the renowned filmmaker recently when she attended the ongoing International Film Festival of India in Goa. At the 55th IFFI, which continues to be a starry affair with many celebs being a part of it, the filmmaker was present with his wife and veteran actress Suhasini for a masterclass. The actress shared her happiness of meeting the director and his wife and took to social media to express the same.

Taking to Instagram, Manisha Koirala posted a photo with Mani Ratnam and Suhasini, as she also shared her happiness on reuniting with him. In her note she also opened up about the experience of attending a masterclass by Mani Ratnam as she said, “”ATTENDED THE MASTERCLASS OF A LIFETIME! In @iffigoa @nfaiofficial Hugely grateful to @shekharkapur for inviting me.. I had the privilege of listening to the phenomenal film director, Mani Ratnam! His insights into storytelling, filmmaking, and the Indian film industry were truly enlightening. A masterclass that will stay with me forever! Mani Ratnam’s body of work is a testament to his genius: Nayakan, Bombay, Dil Se, Guru, and many more…”
She went on to speak about Suhasini as she added, “Feeling inspired, motivated, and grateful for this opportunity! As always loved meeting my fav @suhasinihasan who helped me during #hammahamma song”. The photo definitely garnered ample love from fans on the platform who dropped requests for the filmmaker and actress to reunite.
Meanwhile, Manisha Koirala also was invited as a guest for the festival where she shared the stage with Shekhar Kapur for a ‘thought-provoking’ conversation along with filmmaker Lucy Walker to discuss the challenges faced by documentary filmmakers.
For the unversed, Manisha Koirala played the leading lady of Mani Ratnam films Bombay – a Tamil Hindi bilingual alongside Arvind Swamy as well as in Dil Se… co-starring Shah Rukh Khan which also marked the acting debut of Preity Zinta.
