Priyanka Chopra Jonas surprises fans with her photo in ‘boy cut’ as 9-year-old; asks social media fam to ‘NOT TROLL’
Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared an intriguing post on her official social media page that seems to have left her Insta fam quite surprised. The actress shared a glimpse of how she looked as a nine-year-old wherein she revealed about her boy cut look in her pre-teen era and compared the same with her glam look when she entered her 20s. Taking this trip down memory lane, Priyanka, in her note, explained the need to love each of our phase.
It is a known fact that PC has always been one of the actresses who has championed for self-love on many occasions and recently she continued her musings in her Monday post that is not just about nostalgia but exploring the different phases of our life. She started the message with a request asking her social media fam to ‘not troll’ and wrote, “Warning: Don’t troll my 9 year old self. So wild to think about what puberty and grooming can do to a girl. On the left is me at my awkward pre teen era with a “Boy cut” hairstyle so it wouldn’t be cumbersome at school. (Thanks ma @drmadhuakhourichopra ) I went from a “katori cut” to this. so it was a win. and on the right is me at 17 ,having just won Miss India in the year 2000 and basking in the glory of hair, make up and wardrobe.. Both pictures taken less than a decade apart.”
She continued, “As Britney Spears very articulately put it.. I’m not a girl, not yet a woman. That was exactly how i felt then, entering the big world of entertainment. Almost 25 years later.. still figuring it out. Though , aren’t we all? Looking back at my younger self often makes me kinder to myself today. Think about your younger self and how much she has done for you.” She concluded the note adding, “Love yourself, you’ve gone through a lot to be where you are today. ?? As you asked, my younger self gives me lots of innocence. And I want to tell that you are doing great my younger self. Keep dreaming. Big and bigger.” Producer Ekta Kapoor dropped several heart emojis adding, “always a star!!” Many such celebrities showcased their love and support towards the actress by dropping sweet comments and emojis on the post.
