Randeep pointed out that the real concern is not when you’re in the news, but when people stop discussing you altogether. He added, “But that should not also be a case of just creating sensationalism. Boycott culture is a social media hoax. If you see a boycott for a film on social media, that doesn’t necessarily mean people are not going to watch it.”

He also stated that the true factor impacting a film’s popularity is the audience’s connection to the trailer or their favourite actors. Hooda stated confidently, “It has nothing to do with this boycott culture. I don’t care about it at all. I have been canceled many times. I am here bro.”

The actor, who started in Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding, has always sought out offbeat roles. At the event, he expressed his desire for important films and said, “I have always wanted to not just do frothy films. In India and everywhere, we are looking at entertainment, where we are not required to apply our minds too much.”

Randeep Hooda’s filmography includes acclaimed films such as Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Sarbjit, Highway, Kick, and Sultan. His latest project, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, in which he portrayed the Indian political activist Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, received positive reviews for his performance. Hooda also directed and co-produced the film.

Released on March 22, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar featured Randeep Hooda, Ankita Lokhande, Amit Sial, Apinderdeep Singh, and Mark Bennington, and focused on Savarkar’s role in the Indian Independence movement. The film earned over Rs 30 crore at the Indian box office.

On the work front, Randeep Hooda has announced his involvement in Sunny Deol’s upcoming film.
