Samantha Ruth Prabhu says it wasn’t easy doing the stunts for the super-hit Amazon series Citadel: Honey Bunny. She gifted herself a concussion during the shooting. She said, “Yes, I gave myself a concussion. I think it was like an adrenaline rush because they were really long shots and none of us wanted to be the one who was messing up the shot, because it just like felt like poetry. The camera, the DOP the other stunt guys and me, we all had to be in perfect rhythm because nobody wanted to mess up the shot because they were really really really long shots.”

She added, “I think I was done four or five minutes already and there I was… probably there was an adrenaline rush and I kind of gave myself a concussion. I couldn’t remember anything for a few hours. But I knew that the cabin that we were shooting in… we were allowed to shoot there only that day and it needed to be done. I’m just really glad that I was able to complete that action piece.”

Samantha has still not watched the entire series. “I still haven’t been able to bring myself to watch the series,” she said. “I think it’s a little painful. It makes me have to relive some of the things that happened while shooting; certain scenes especially like the bar scene for me when I was watching it at the premiere –I watched the first episode–and I just remembered that those were among my toughest days on the set. I was extremely sick during those days. Look at the irony! I was doing a comedy scene, so it just takes you go back and makes you relive all of those experiences and it’s too hard. So, I haven’t been able to actually watch from the second episode. I just watched the first episode.”
