The duo is seen grooving to Varun’s recently released song ‘Nain Matakka’ from his upcoming film Baby John. The original music video features Varun alongside Keerthy Suresh.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently shared moments from the Citadel success party on her Instagram. In one video, Varun Dhawan is seen feeding cake to Samantha, while another photo captures the two stars posing together. Samantha captioned the post, “A beautiful evening spent with the loveliest people, my heart overflowing with gratitude.”
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan have been receiving praise from critics for their performances in Citadel: Honey Bunny. However, Samantha has been open about the challenges she faced while working on the series, especially after being diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune disorder that weakens muscles. In an interview with Galatta India, she shared that at one point, she even asked the directors, Raj and DK, to consider replacing her due to her health struggles.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu recalled her initial excitement when she was offered the role of Honey in Citadel: Honey Bunny and said, “I was absolutely fine when I got the opportunity to play Honey. I was overjoyed. But a few months later, I was the same person who requested Raj and DK to please choose another heroine to play Honey,” Samantha shared. She even suggested other actresses like Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon, believing they would be better suited for the action-packed role. However, Raj and DK reassured her, saying, “Yeah, we know them, you don’t have to introduce us.”
