The eagerly anticipated third installment of the Singham franchise, Singham Again, recently unveiled its trailer at a star-studded event in Mumbai. While the film’s leading man, Ajay Devgn, was present to grace the occasion, the absence of another prominent cast member, Akshay Kumar, was notable. However, Kumar, who plays Veer Sooryavanshi in the franchise, ensured that his presence was felt through a heartfelt video message.

In the video, Kumar expressed his regret at not being able to attend the trailer launch in person. He reminisced about the overwhelming support that his previous collaboration with director Rohit Shetty, Sooryavanshi, received during the pandemic. “I want to apologise as I could not attend the Singham 3 trailer launch in person today. But looking at this housefull theatre has given me so much joy. I remember during the pandemic, there was a 50 percent occupancy, yet people turned up to watch my and Rohit Shetty’s film, Sooryavanshi. You helped it become a blockbuster. Please give that kind of support to Singham Again as well,” he said.

Kumar urged fans to extend the same level of support to Singham Again. He highlighted the film’s potential to bring joy and unity during the festive season of Diwali. The actor also took a light-hearted moment to acknowledge his co-stars, Tiger Shroff and Ranveer Singh, known for their contrasting personalities. “And yes, my brother Tiger Shroff is also there. He keeps a little to himself, is a bit shy, which is why we have Ranveer Singh there too. Let us celebrate Diwali together this season. Ajay, I love you,” the actor signed off on a light note as the audience erupted in laughter.

Singham Again boasts an ensemble cast, including Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Jackie Shroff. The film arrives in cinemas on Diwali 2024.
