Tabu recently opened up about her cameo in the iconic Bollywood film Om Shanti Om during an interview while promoting her upcoming film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. The film, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, is remembered for its star-studded song ‘Deewangi Deewangi’, which featured numerous Bollywood celebrities. Shah Rukh Khan’s generosity

In an interview with Zoom, Tabu revealed, “A lot of people want to see us together. There was a shot that all of us did. I did it for Farah and yeah, it was great fun. They made me some great clothes, great hair and makeup, and we got very expensive gifts from Shah Rukh Khan.” This statement highlights not only the fun and excitement on the set but also the camaraderie and appreciation among the actors.

The star-studded song

The song ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ from Om Shanti Om featured an impressive ensemble of Bollywood stars, including Priyanka Chopra, Rani Mukerji, Shabana Azmi, Vidya Balan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Jeetendra, and Tusshar Kapoor, among others. Directed by Farah Khan, the film revolves around Om, an aspiring actor from the 1970s who is murdered while trying to save the life of the girl he loved Shantipriya and is reincarnated in the present day, aiming to uncover the mystery of his death and find Shanti, the love of his previous life. Shah Rukh Khan played the role of Om Prakash Makhija, while Deepika Padukone starred as Shantipriya.

Upcoming projects

Tabu is currently gearing up for her next film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, alongside Ajay Devgn. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the movie spans a love story that unfolds between 2002 and 2023 and features Jimmy Shergill, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Saiee Manjrekar. Additionally, Tabu is set to appear in the international series Dune: Prophecy, where she will portray the role of Sister Francesca.

Shah Rukh Khan’s next venture

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for his next appearance in Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming action thriller King. The film is highly anticipated as it features SRK alongside his daughter Suhana Khan, marking a significant project for both actors.
