Vijay Deverakonda is known for his lover-boy charm and is often appreciated for bringing it effortlessly to the screen. While the actor is currently gearing up for his next project, VD12, where he will get his A-game on to step into action mode, ahead of the same, he decided to give a short but sweet glimpse of his romantic avatar in a music video titled ‘Sahiba’ as he shared screen space with Radhikka Madan in a number by Jasleen Royal.

Speaking about stepping into this historical world with ‘Sahiba’ Vijay Deverakonda opened up about playing the quintessential lover-boy in an interview with Times of India, wherein he addressed the track and shared, “As soon as I heard it, I knew it was a song that would be played on repeat. It’s a hit song. So, I told her, ‘It’s a hit song.’” He further added, “Every morning, I wake up, and the song is on loop.”
The actor announced the song first on his Instagram on November 6, where he shared a photo with the singer Jasleen Royal and his friend Dulquer Salmaan as they announced a never-seen-before collaboration. Taking the love of ‘Heeriye’ ahead, the song ‘Sahiba’ is set in the British Raj era, marking Vijay’s first onscreen collaboration with popular actress Radhikka Madan. The song was unveiled on Friday and a glimpse of a few romantic montages from the music video was shared by Vijay on his official social media handle along with the caption, “A love letter to unconditional love #Sahiba is OUT NOW! Hope you all love it as much as we did while making it <3”.
On the film front, Vijay Deverakonda has an exciting lineup of films ahead. While the title of VD12 will be announced soon, the film is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 28, 2025.
